Moto's Kitchen: Recipe 3 - Tofu Burger

Tofu Burger patty (4-8 patties):
1 (firm) tofu (microwave 2 min to get rid of excess water)
1/2 lb. ground chicken
1 egg
1 chopped medium size onion
1/2 cup bread crumbs
salt & pepper
Teriyaki Glaze:
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. sake
1 1/2 Tbsp. mirin
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Cook each patty for around 5-7 minutes, flipping over to brown each side. Add the teriyaki glaze towards the end of the cooking process. Cover to speed up. Serve with lettuce and shiso (or any other vegetables and condiments you would like).

While traditionally it can be served very minimally on it's own with some soy sauce, ginger and scallions, we show a more creative way to liven up the ordinary tofu burger by creating a chicken teriyaki tofu burger that is not only healthy but delicious.
