For the Goal 3 “Good health and well-being” and the Goal 11 “Sustainable cities and communities”, JAXA contributes to monitoring aerosols. Japanese meteorological satellite Himawari is also observing aerosols. JAXA has analyzed the observation data to improve the prediction accuracy of aerosol concentrations such as yellow sand and PM 2.5. JAXA plans to add data of Global Change Observation Mission-climate (GCOM-C) and Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) series into the analysis in the future.
