For the Goal 11 “Sustainable cities and communities” and the Goal 13 “Climate action”, JAXA's Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2 (ALOS-2) is useful for grasping the situation of disaster areas. ALOS-2 obtains various information from land surface even at night or heavy rains. When a disaster occurs, we analyze images of before and after the disaster to identify landslides or flood inundation areas. The latest information is provided disaster-related organizations to plan for disaster relief.
