For the Goal 13 “Climate Action”, JAXA contributes to monitoring greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane. Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) developed by the Ministry of the Environment, the National Institute for Environmental Studies, and JAXA has been measuring the global distribution of greenhouse gas concentrations. GOSAT has been observing for more than 10 years, so that we are able to know how greenhouse gases density is changing globally.
