大会組織委員会の橋本会長はきょうの会見で
「組織委としてはこの大会のキャンセルは考えていない。
日々努力を重ね、確実な開催に向けて邁進したい」と述べ、
東京オリンピックの開催中止の可能性を改めて否定しました。
また、きのう自民党の二階幹事長が中止の可能性を言及したことについて問われると
「おそらく心配をされての発言だと思う。身の引き締まる思いだ。」と述べ、
開催に向けて安全対策を進めると強調しました。
