ネブタ祭りは、青森県の各地で行われる夏祭りの一種です。その中の一つである大湊ネブタは青森県むつ市で行われ、巨大なネブタ（灯籠）とそれを取り巻く笛や太鼓による勇壮な祭り囃子で有名です。
毎年、大湊地区の海上自衛隊員もこの祭りに参加しています。防衛省・自衛隊は、今後もこのようなイベントに積極的に参加し、地元の方々との相互理解や信頼の醸成に努めてまいります。
【Maritime Self-Defense Force and Ominato Nebuta Festival】
Nebuta is a type of summer festival held in towns around Aomori Prefecture. Ominato Nebuta is one of those festivals that takes place in Mutsu-city, Aomori. The highlight of the festival is the enormous lantern floats called Nebuta, marching along to festival music played by flutes and drums.
Every year, the MSDF Ominato District participates in this festival with their original gigantic floats. The MOD/SDF will further deepen the mutual trust and understanding between the local communities by actively taking part in these events.
