Here in New York we just wrapped up our 10th anniversary of Japan Cuts festival of new Japanese cinema. We asked the guests what their favorite Japanese words are.

Kensaku Watanabe (Director) - 二兎追うものは一兎も得ず (nito ou mono wa itte mo ezu); He who runs after two hares will catch neither
Denden (Actor) - 博愛 (hakuai); love for all
Lily Franky (Actor) - いいと思います (ii to omoteimasu); that looks good
Hitoshi One (Director) - さようなら (sayounara); goodbye, until we meet again
