Should You Bring Your Pet To Japan?

Can you bring your dog or cat to Japan? Yes.
SHOULD you bring your pet to Japan?
No.
Well, it depends.
Travelling can bring a lot of stress to your pets. Make sure you take the time to consider whether or not it is going to be worth it for them, not just for you.
However, there are circumstances where you may not be able to leave your pet behind, or you may know that Japan is your future forever home. What then? How do you move the entire family (including the furry babies) across the ocean?

While I have not used them personally, I do have friends who are registered "Trusted Housesitters" and recently spent 3 months dog-sitting in Mexico. "Trusted Housesitters" will stay in your home and take care of your house and pets for free, in exchange for a chance to experience life somewhere new. It's worth a browse.
