North Korea’s missile and nuclear program has intensified and reached new heights, and its ability to launch a missile capable of hitting the United States is advancing far more rapidly than predicted. With one of the most important holidays coming up on October 10th in North Korea, experts speculate the country will celebrate Party Foundation Day with another missile test. In October, the United States will be sending an aircraft carrier to the Korean Peninsula for a military drill with South Korea, which could further increase tension in the region. How should the United States, Japan, and other countries respond? Will China exert its economic influence over North Korea? Is there a possibility that the situation would further escalate?
