On this day in 2008, former UFC featherweight champion José Aldo made his debut in the WEC fighting promotion where he was able to secure a dominant second-round TKO win over opponent Alexandre Franca Nogueira. Aldo would go on to have a successful WEC career, claiming the WEC featherweight title and later on becoming a champion in the Octagon.
