In the Get to Know Japan Series’ inaugural event, Japan Society will introduce the cuisine and cultural treasures of the Ishikawa Prefecture. Positioned on the Sea of Japan’s widely beautiful coastline, the historic Ishikawa Prefecture has enchanted Japanese vacationers since the seventeenth century. Michael Romano, renowned chef and food ambassador of Ishikawa Prefecture, will showcase Ishikawa’s rich food culture. Toshio Ohi, a member of the historic Ohi Pottery family, will discuss his company’s iconic ceramic works as well as the local art of Ishikawa.
