イギリス・ロンドンの動物園。
本格的な夏の到来を前に、食事をしながら毛を刈られているのは、フタコブラクダのチンギスとノエミー。
飼育員によりますと、ラクダは年に一度、自然に毛が抜け落ちるとのことですが、この２頭は半分ほどしか抜け落ちなかったため、残りの毛を刈ることに。
刈った毛の量は5.8キロにもなりました。
これで夏も快適に過ごすことができそうです。
