”Nio crotch wicket" new year Japan 万満寺の股くぐり

千葉県 松戸市 JR馬橋駅東口、旧水戸街道沿いにある万満寺。
鎌倉時代(1256年）に建立され、今も地元の人々に親しまれている。
仁王門にある木造金剛力士(仁王)像は運慶の作といわれており、
国の重要文化財に指定されている。
正月3が日と春秋の例大祭には仁王門が開帳され「仁王様の股くぐり」ができる。
「阿」像の両足の間には、５０センチ四方のすき間があり、
くぐると病気・厄よけになるといわれ無病息災を願う人々で賑わっている。
国の重要文化財を直接触ることができる非常に珍しい場所である。
