Female Ama divers have been harvesting sea urchin (“uni”) off the coasts of Japan for over a thousand years, and this unique fishing technique only exists in Japan and Korea.
Kuji-city wanted to show visitors how Ama divers actually harvest sea urchin in the sea, so they took a 360-degree camera to new depths on the coast near Kuji city and upload it to Street View. You can explore the rich marine life of the Kuji coast and see her in action as an Ama.
