The Japanese "days", originally from China. Basically they are lucky days and they are called rokuyou (六曜). There are 6 terms
先勝 senshou
友引 tomobiki
先負 senbu
仏滅 butsumetsu
大安 taian
赤口 shakkou
Typical ppl don't know the meaning behind all these, except for common ones , like its good luck to have wedding on a taian day. They are related to good luck and bad luck, buddism.
